The fine folks and friends at The Hill-Side sent me some pieces from their spring/summer 2014 collection earlier this summer and I’ve been wearing them non-stop since. The prints and fabrics are incredibly versatile, nothing is strictly feminine or masculine. My husband and I share every piece I’ve gotten from The Hill-Side and I love to see how he styles them a little differently than I do. I decided to style a little photoshoot featuring the chambray scarf and the tropical leaves pocket square with my friends Abba and Karin to really highlight them. Lucky for you readers, I’m also doing a giveaway – you can win a chambray scarf, polka dot pockets square, and a confetti watch strap!

Love this one minute video produced by the Corsillo boys for their brand The Hill-Side’s special collection with Gitman Vintage. The collection includes seven short sleeve button down shirts featuring some crazy awesome floral patterns. The video is what they call “disposable motion animation” using hundreds of photos taken by disposable cameras, and starring the ever cool and collected James Wilson of Secret Forts.
The Corsillo brothers have outdone themselves with another impeccable collection of bow ties, pocket squares, bandanas, scarfs, and ties for their The Hill-Side Autumn/Winter 2012 collection. Featuring striped flannel twill, chenille stripe knit, gauze stripe, herringbone gingham, printed duck cloth, printed chambray, and canvas (just to name some) this collection is a botomless goodie-bag. And the lookbook isn’t so bad either (note understatement). Their idea of sending samples and disposable cameras to shops around the world that carry the brand was ingenious and produced a collection of images that not only do the product justice, but embody the community of this ever-growing brand. Now let’s talk about that blue woodland camo.
The Autumn Fair Look is back this year and just in time for the Peru Fair. When I was a kid I would frequent this fair with family and friends as the small town of Peru is a neighboring town to my home of Manchester. I’ve always admired the town’s beauty and authenticity. It boasts countless artisans and crafters, numerous yummy food providers, and of course, loads of pork! For the past few years, early autumn has been quite warm vs. the chilly septembers of our youth. So bring a layer or two, but most likely you’ll be more than toasty come midday with a full belly and the sun baking down on you. Up next, a look for the Misters.
