I’m so excited to share with you all my most recent styling project with Penfield. The S/S 13 Lookbook was shot in the Hamptons and is the third lookbook I’ve styled for Penfield. It’s also the second one I’ve worked on with Ryan Plett as our fabulous photographer since I brought him on board with the team for F/W 12. And we’re currently working on F/W 13! But you’ll have to wait till the fall for that one. Check out the whole lookbook and get ready for warmer days (and here for some behind the scenes action).

Penfield F/W 2012 Lookbook
I had the pleasure of working with the great folks at Penfield for another season. The Fall and Winter 2012 lookbook is now live. Friend Ryan Plett was our talented photographer, Camp Wandawega was our remarkable backdrop, and I styled. The weather in Wisconsin in March turned out to be drizzly and cold making for the perfect grey and moody atmosphere, but rather chilled bones by the end of the day (our two models were such troopers). Tereasa Surratt, David Hernandez, and Bill Sargent of Wandawega were the most gracious hosts and make the experience so memorable. We all can’t wait to get bring our families and friends there (probably in a warmer month!). Stay tuned for more behind the scenes footage and additional photography.

Penfield S/S 2012 Lookbook
My buddies at Penfield have a great collection in store for Spring 2012. Classics including the Vassan mountain parka and the Gibson hooded parka get a reboot with some bright new color options, including my favorite, boat yellow. Penfield makes the ideal outerwear for New England’s “wet spring days and cool nights in the summer”. Above are a few of my favorite looks from the lookbook. The whole collection will be available March 1, and a few key pieces are available now online.

From Rockport to Cambridge
The Penfield’s F/W 2011 lookbook that I helped this past Spring is now live! It was an amazing project to work on. Skip Brooks of Alex Grant helped was also a stylist and Fred Castleberry of Unabashedly Prep was our amazing photographer. Our locations were Rockport on the North Shore then back down through Cambridge and Boston. Andrew Ray of One Man’s Style came by during our day in Boston and took some awesome behind the scenes shots for us. Our models Neal and Madeline were fantastic and made the weekend so much fun. A special thanks to Skip, Fred, Madeline, Neal, and Andy, to the Penfield team, and of course to Steve Dool and the folks at BPMW.

Summer Stripes
It’s pretty obvious that I’m on a summer anticipation kick with my posts lately and this one is no different. When it comes to picking out shirts in the warmer months, there are a few patterns that are quintessential. Stripes being one of them. Horizontal, vertical, colorful, tonal, you name it and this year’s S/S collections have got it. Above are some of my favorites, and it’s pretty evident I’m partial to stripes in blue and white.

Penfield Trailwear
Penfield continues to impress me with their collections this year, especially for Fall and Winter. Having been raised in Maine and Vermont, I have an eye for outerwear that is going to withstand the elements while remaining super comfortable for my everyday life. Penfield’s Trailwear collection hits the nail on the head with durable fabrics like their Hudson Wax Cloth and classic comfortable cuts. To boot, the aesthetic and construction of the collection stays true to the Trailwear archives and Penfield heritage which induces a homey nostalgic feeling for us New Englanders who grew up bundled in Penfield. Above are some of my favorite pieces for men and women from the collection.

Penfield 35th Anniversary Outback Vest
Penfield continues to impress with the second half of their 35th anniversary collection. The revived 1970′s Outback vest is the pride and glory of the collection, hands down. This old school classic has undergone a luxe makeover with 100% calfskin leather making it the perfect marriage of functionality and luxury. I’ve always loved the Outback vest but this limited edition is just too gorgeous to pass up on. Unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll be able to put down the $500 to get it on my back this fall but it’s definitely going on the Christmas list . . . Santa knows I’ve been good this year.

Penfield Sample Sale
I’ve been missing out on all the good stuff in NYC this summer. Capsule, ENK, and now the Penfield Sample Sale. They put out a great collection for SS 10 and although you may want to pinch pennies in anticipation to stock up on their gear for FW, I don’t think you’ll want to pass up on this sale. So if you are in NYC this weekend, shop for both of us. Please!

Penfield T’s

I’m sure all of my female readers adored the Léon t-shirts I posted about yesterday (and hopefully ordered one!). Now, for the men out there, a collection of T’s with a bit of a bite to them. Penfield delivers yet again with a collection of durable cotton jersey t-shirts ready for any activity thrown at them. Rock it old-school with the brand’s 35 year-old logo on a bold purple T. Or, let your inner man give out a roar with Penfield’s bear emblazoned T. These two are only a taste of their SS ’10 t-shirts, all of which are definitely worth a look.

Penfield Pac-Jac
In honor of their 35th anniversary, Penfield has brought back the Original Pac-Jac for S/S 10. This windbreaker was first released in the ’80s as one of the many solid jackets that this Massachusetts company created to endure the elements. They got your back in any weather condition that you may encounter in New England. EAJ got his at the inconspicuous store Bodega on Clearway St. in Boston which has an ample selection of Penfield at the moment.
