Anything Nick Wooster touches seems to turn to gold. It might not always be your cup of tea (I have yet to have that be the case for me), but you always respect his impeccable taste and ingenuity. His collaboration with Orlebar Brown is no different. At first glance a man who typically wears a looser swim trunk might find these too fitted and cropped. But look again, the fit is a perfectly tailored straight cut that sits on the waist and fits through the seat probably better than most of your trousers do. The zip fly and hidden hook and bar slide closure is a thoughtful upgrade from the typical Velcro or lace-up closure found on most swim trunks. All these features attest to the signature quality, versatility, and wear-ability of Orlebar Brown’s swim trunks, which are only enhanced by Wooster’s input. For me, the real kicker is the pattern. Camo is a pattern that people either love or hate – I love. Wooster has made this easily recognizable pattern, traditionally used for blending in, and made it stand out with an adapted pattern and bright hues. The curves of the pattern are reminiscent of the very waves one would wear the trunks in – a brilliant and subtle design move. Park & Bond is exclusively carrying the collaboration here.
