Happy Father’s Day

Today is the day we celebrate our father’s. Although those of us who are lucky to be blessed with really wonderful father’s, probably find ourselves celebrating every day. I am eternally grateful for the support, love, and protection y father, John Mitchell, has given me every day of my life. Happy Father’s Day DAD!

For more father’s day, check out Max Wastler’s “dadisms” over on All Plaidout (a few from Rev. John Mitchell in there). Also last year’s “Things my father taught me” on All Plaidout.

Things My Father Taught Me

I have long been a fan of Max Wastler and his site All Plaidout. Not only is his writing top-notch, but the content is truly wonderful. His series Things My Mother Taught Me and Things My Father Taught Me have been real successes and I was honored to be asked by Max to contribute this father’s day to his Things My Father Taught Me series, this time all from the perspective from daughters. Check out the whole series here.

Case Knives for Father’s Day!

Father’s Day guest post by EAJ, who thinks a W. R. Case knife is the best Father’s Day present, no matter how many he already has in his collection.

Pendleton Blankets

In honor of Father’s Day this coming Sunday, I’ll be posting some items on the blog that fathers might enjoy. First on the list was an easy choice. The Pendleton blanket. You can’t go wrong with a good blanket. And like my boyfriend’s father has always told him, “You should always have a blanket in the truck. In case you get stuck in a snowstorm, run out of gas driving through the woods, or you want to have a picnic”. So if your dad doesn’t already have a blanket in the truck, I’m sure he’d appreciate you giving him one this father’s day.

Check out Whispering Pines Catalog for their collection of Pendleton blankets and other goods.
