Emerson is back with a killer collection for Spring/Summer. Breezy linens and silks in sophisticated sleek cuts. Each piece works well as a solo staple or pairs beautifully together to make a complete wardrobe. My favorites are the ivory double breasted jacket and short suit, the ikat tunic, the trench (made of Belgian linen, oh my!), and the slate grey tie waist dress. Plus every piece of Emerson’s continues to be made in the USA.

After a nice spring vacation, Skip of Alex Grant and I are back with our Date Night series! Being a Harvard man himself, Skip suggested we do The Social Network. Here is Mark’s slighted ex-girlfriend Erica Albright’s typical look. I updated it a little to make it more seasonless with a lighter weight jacket, but all in all it’s the perfect bookish look for a date at a low lit pub or a cafe. Head over to Alex Grant to see Skip’s look for Mark Zuckerberg.
After living in the South End of Boston for three years, my boyfriend and I will be moving to the very quaint (and very unheard-of) neighborhood of Cambridgeport on June 1st. Why, you ask? We’ll be getting twice the square footage for the same price without sacrificing the quiet charm of tree lined streets. We will lose the growing tourism in our current neighborhood, which neither of us can complain about. Needless to say, I’ve been drooling over odds and ends for the home and can’t wait to start sprucing up the new apartment. For the next few days I’ll be posting some of my favorite finds, mostly from US general stores and boutiques. Each post will be centered on a specific room/living area. Today is the most important room of all – the kitchen. Click on the images above to be led to the product page. And please feel free to comment about other shops you know of that have great selections!
