Blanc & Noir at (capsule)

Blanc & Noir impressed me with their ability to display historical inspiration in their clothing, without duplicating it. Inspired by the aesthetics and construction of formal, military, and utility clothing, Blanc & Noir’s collections enhance historical silhouettes with durable materials of the highest quality and enhanced comfort. I’m really excited about their new collection of selvage denim that will be available for their F/W 2011 collection (inspired and named after the Canadian fugitive Albert Johnson who was also known as the Mad Trapper of Rat River). The denim is made in the same factory as the well loved RLL selvage denim. I had the opportunity to get a good look at Blanc & Noir’s samples at (capsule). The straight cut provides a true straight fit without any snugness or billowing and the attention to detail, inside and out, will definitely help this denim stand apart from the crowd.
